Independent freelance writer/author, researcher and debater; gender history and philosophy studies (MA 1996; 2001) from Uppsala and Stockholm university. Editor of Cultural Section and Debate, The Animals' Rights Magazine 1989 - 1999. Co founder of the Stockholm Free Paper, Editor of Cultural Section, Columnist at the Metro paper 2001 - 2002, initiator and organizer of authors' visits, among others Astrid Lindgren, Eeva Kilpi, Peter Singer, Barbara Noske. Her influential book Skönheter & odjur (2005 ) is the first book in Swedish to analyze the oppressive relationship between humans and the category of animals including the oppression of human groups. The book employs historical and sociological perspectives, introducing and devoloping the issues of critical animal studies in general from feminist perspectives, presenting the concepts of anthro-androcentrism, meat normativity, and hyperexploitation. In her work the historical and current expression 'like 'animals'' ("som 'djur'") and the role of the animal category in Aristotle's theory in Politics are deconstructed.
Author of pioneering essays and research on Lizzy Lind af Hageby (1996; 2014), ditto in Swedish and a drama about Olympe de Gouges (2013; 2016). Reviewer of non-fiction and fiction, speaker, editor, translator, author of books on vegetarian and vegan issues, critical power perspectives on 'animal' ethics, the economic, environmental, climate crisis, and feminism.
